“The most famous fighting game of all times is back”
by Francesca MiglioriniFor all Street Fighter II lovers, here’s Windows’ Plus Champion Edition version of the most famous fighting game of all times. No emulators needed and no surrogate of the real game here. This unique file game renders the same playability and graphic of the original arcade game. You can also have the scan lines effect pressing Alt-4 or selecting the option in the Video menu.
With the Champion Edition you can choose between the eight original characters plus the four special ones you meet towards the end of your adventure: Balrog, Sagat, Vega and Mr Bison. There are some mistakes here with the names as the Spanish fighter is Vega, the boxer Balrog and the captain Mr.Bison, but in this game emulation names are inverted.
To set the keys you prefer in order to play, go in the Option, Set Config, Controllers menu; at this point, choose 6btn pad in the Port1 line and click Define. Now press the keys you would like to use to jump, move right, left, punch and kick by following the direction you see at the bottom of the frame. It’s all ready now for you to enjoy the fighting tournament.
Play again with your favourite character in Street Fighter with this faithful version of the original Sega game.

Street Fighter II is a 1991 competitive fighting game by Capcom. It is widely credited with launching the fighting game genre into the mainstream and extending the life of the worldwide arcade scene for several years with its unique six button "combo" controls and revolutionary "loser pays" competitive gameplay. Its popularity far eclipsed that of its comparatively obscure predecessor, thanks in part to its inclusion of eight selectable characters (a number which would increase in subsequent updates) with their unique playing style and refinement of the unique play controls featured in the first game, setting the template for future fighting games. Its success also led to the production of several updates of the game (including home versions), as well as merchandising and cross-media adaptations (including two separately produced theatrical films).
